Laser Cutting for Fashion, Graphic and Interior Designers

Custom make pieces with your own design, or your clients! All you need is a good quality Jpeg for engraving/etching or a vector file for cutting. Or better yet, both! Our large format CO2 laser cutter can both etch and cut from the same file.

General Guidelines:

– Maximum size for cutting is 38″ X 24″

– Maximum size for etching is 34″ X 24″

– Maximum material size with feed through capability is 38″ wide X infinitely long X 7″ thick

– Cut lines/shapes need to be solid and connected vector lines set to ‘hairline’ or the thinnest your software will allow (eg. 0.25pt in Illustrator)

– Etch lines are anything thicker than hairline, and will be engraved

– High contrast images work best for engraving/etching

* Don’t be afraid to give us a call or email if you have any questions, or if you need a file created we can do that for you as well.

Laser cutting for Interior Designers

Stop searching for that perfect piece and start making it!

We find that for most interior designers, using a laser cutter to custom make the perfect accent piece is far quicker and more cost effective than searching the world for it. And let’s be honest, given the chance, you’d make something far superior anyway.  ;-)

Now you can design and manufacture your own custom and personalized room dividers, window coverings, privacy screens, lamps, wall hangings, curtains, panels, art installations, stencils, place mats…you name it! Anything and everything you need to put your crowning touch on any space.

There are some great examples of laser cut interior design elements at Pinterest.

Laser cutting for Fashion Designers

Our laser cutter can cut silk, wool, cotton, fabric, felt, denim, leather and more! More durable and thick materials such as leather and denim, can also be laser etched with any pattern or design of your choosing.

Laser cutting produces sharp, crisp edges and delicate forms and intricacy that cannot be  achieved by any other method. The heat of the beam actually singes the edges of most fabrics with some synthetic content, preventing fraying.

Custom lace designs and dreamy damask inspired patterns cut out of any material are now easily achieved so you can let your imagination run wild.

And let’s not forget about the accessories!

Want to design and manufacture your own line of jewelry and accessories to show off on the runway? We can custom create your necklaces, pendants, earrings, broaches, anklets, spats…  just about anything you can think of, in just about any material you desire!

Check out this story on Razorlab for examples of laser cut fashion pieces.

Laser cutting for Graphic Designers

It’s time to stop merely printing on paper/cardstock and time to start cutting them! In fact, it’s time to extend your range beyond paper to other materials such as wood, acrylic, veneer, leather,  bamboo, cork, MDF and more!

Laser cut paper, wood/veneer, and acrylic business cards are all the rage. With good reason. These days, it takes much more than good offset printing to make a business card stand out. With a laser cutter at their disposal, graphic designers can make truly unique business cards and signage that will be sure to get them and their clients noticed.

Most graphic designers we talk to can’t wait to get their work off the page and into tangible 3 dimensional reality. If your design looks good on the screen, it’ll be sure to look even better when you hold it in your hands.
